For these families, Chestermere lake is a great draw to people looking to do more boating near their home.
The Town of Chestermere provides a boat launch facility available to the general public for the launching of power craft at John Peake Memorial Park. The launch is available free to residents, and for a fee to non-residents. Many residents also prefer to boat at Chestermere lake versus other spots, as you are permitted to use a motorboat to waterski. Many residents also enjoy some of the other perks of living alongside a lake, including winter sports such as snowmobiling and ice skating. In the summer, others enjoy swimming, sailing, fishing, and the great recreational opportunities along the lake.
